Kid Fun In San Diego: Reuben H. Fleet Science Center
I'm a child trapped inside a grownup, and that suits me just fine. Yet, no matter your age - young, old, or somewhere in between - you're sure to have a blast at the interactive Reuben H. Fleet Science Center in Balboa Park. It's located just beyond the large fountains, and it's just a short walk from the San Diego Zoo.
The Center contains plenty to do. There are dozens hands-on science exhibits as well as a motion simulator, an exploration of people's insides called "Grossology: The (Impolite) Science of the Human Body," and a planetarium.
The Science Center is also the home to San Diego's only IMAX Theater, which is also an incredible experience. The way the theater was built actually gives audience members the illusion that they are flying and floating.
No matter how old you are, I encourage you to take a few hours and visit the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center. It could take years off your life!
