70 Acres of Bargains
Founded in 1947 by Jim and Marilee Denio, Denio's Farmers Market and Swap Meet in Roseville began with a single person selling produce near the Southern Pacific Railroad Yard.
Today, you can still find quality produce for discount prices at Denio's but long gone are the days of a single vendor; a staggering variety of products including clothes, electronics, jewelry, and furniture are now sold at Denio's on almost 70 acres of land. If you are looking for something, you'll find it at Denio's and chances are it will be cheaper; vendors at Denio's sell both new and used items and Denio's does not set prices so many vendors are open to bargaining.
Looking through all or even a fraction of the merchandise Denio's has to offer will take some time, but you don't have to worry about going hungry or thirsty in the process. Denio's has snack bars and mobile beer and snack carts positioned throughout its acreage and the food is not the processed junk food you would expect - Denio's makes their own sausage and chili from scratch, hand-sticks and hand-dips each corndog they sell, and cuts and broasts their chicken by hand. If you have only a few hours to shop or you plan to stay all day, you'll find a unique shopping experience and save some cash at Denio's.
Open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, parking is free on Fridays and costs $2 on Saturdays and Sundays. Check out Denio's at 1551 Vineyard Road in Roseville or go to www.denios.org for more information.
