Riveting Performance of Ibsen Drama- A Doll's House

Don't miss this Pear Theatre production of Ibsen's ground-breaking drama, "A Doll's House."  This revolutionary play about gender-equality still packs an intense wallop. The intimate setting (just 40 seats) of the Pear Theatre allows you to clearly see and appreciate the nuanced facial gestures of the actors and adds to the feeling of realism. Shannon Stowe did an outstanding job as Nora. From the beginning, Stowe managed to convey that there were ...

Is Global Climate Change Affecting Your Health

After watching Al Gore's movie, An Inconvenient Truth, we broke down and bought a hybrid car. I keep hearing about melting glaciers, etc. I know some of the possible disaster scenarios, floods, etc. But I haven't heard or don't remember much about the impact of global warming on our health.

Curious? Try checking this out:

Visiting Palo Alto Baylands on a Summery Winter Day

Looking_through_Binocularstwo_comorants.JPGCinnamonTealBaylands_and_PaloAltoHills
Would you believe that it was in the mid 70s this afternoon?? Incredible. I am fortunate to live just a 5 minute drive (or a 15 minute bikeride) from the Palo Alto Baylands Nature Preserve.

One reason that I like to visit the Baylands is because it's my quickest way to get close to the ...

Sunday Afternoon Walk across Golden Gate Bridge

Me on Golden Gate BridgePedestrians on Golden Gate Bridge
One of the nice things about Palo Alto is that it is just one hour away from San Francisco.  There is a supposed quote from Mark Twain: "The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco."  And it's true that in the summer, it's generally much colder in San Francisco than it is in ...
