Having been an athlete for my entire life ( a very good solution for a child dealing with ADD) I have always been a fan of taking good care of my body. We all know a good stretch makes you feel better, if you have a cat, dog or even a parakeet you know that stretching is at least a twice daily exercise for these members of your household. Whether you live here or are visiting, a quick yoga class is a great way to enhance your vacation or take a mini-vacation right where you live.

Above Laguna's main beach is Las Brisas, a resturant with one of the largest patios in Laguna Beach overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Gourmet Mexican food and drinks are their specialty, but the view is what makes this one of the best places in Laguna for lunch or Sunday Brunch.

Traveling on a budget? Think staying in a romantic Laguna Beach hotel right on the Pacific Coast Highway will cost too much?
La Casa del Camino is certainly not the largest or most publicized hotel in Laguna, but between the dark wood, orchid and candle lined lobby of this Spanish mission style hotel in the heart of Laguna Beach is definitely a great place ...

Tour the town of Laguna Beach and enjoy the local art galleries in style! The first Thursday of every month the town of Laguna Beach, CA hosts an art walk where local galleries open their doors, serve wine and a free shuttle can take you from place to place if the walk is just a little too far, or you've had just a touch too much wine.

A cozy place to unwind on Wednesday night in the O.C? Well for an intimate setting with a little live music, fireplace, excellent service, great drinks and food... (and of coarse a couple of HD flat-panels to watch the game) The Landmark Steakhouse is my favorite mid-week place to relax.

"Do you know how to surf?" Being a beach friendly California native, this is often the first thing people ask me. Yes, yes I do know how to surf (for the past 10 or so years) and if you are visiting this great place called Orange County, here are some pointers on how to get in the water with a board and enjoy our beautiful beaches.

Balboa Island is actually an area of Newport Beach composed of three artificial islands. If you continue on Jamboree road, past the Pacific Coast Highway you cross a bridge and will find yourself on a boutique lined street, surrounded by gorgeous homes with yachts docked in their backyards.

I've been there, hungry on the road in a new town and not willing to pay $25 or even $15 for lunch. So, where do the locals go? One of my favorite places to grab a quick sandwich and unwind in Newport Beach is the Big Belly Deli.
