Tasty Little Thai Food Resturant - Laguna Beach, CA
During my first two weeks here in Orange County I took off mountain biking with some co-workers, who on the way began talking about this Thai food place that I "had to try". Four years later I've brought along every willing friend, co-worker and have even bumped into my boss (a Laguna local) and his friends at this little hole in the wall Thai food place that you would miss if you blinked.
Just one block off of Main beach (downtown Laguna) I consider Thai Bros the ultimate California girl comfort food. Fresh veggies in nearly every savory dish, a huge selection of chicken, seafood, beef and vegetarian meals all served fast and steaming hot. After a surfing adventure just down the beach a friend of mine and I walked in and devoured their Jungle Curry ( a basil based green curry with shrimp and fresh veggies), a whole roasted savory game hen (fire chicken), and Crying Tiger ( beef strips with a spicy lime dipping sauce).
With great service and location you might imagine a huge dining-room and massive kitchen, but the restaurant is cozy and seats only about 30 people and maintains that California casual vibe. All dishes are avilable for take-out as well. Best of all, the people who run the restaurant are incredibly nice having lent me their phone when I accidental locked everything in my car after one particularly exhausting surf trip.
