Big Belly Deli Won't Leave you Hungry
I've been there, hungry on the road in a new town and not willing to pay $25 or even $15 for lunch. So, where do the locals go? One of my favorite places to grab a quick sandwich and unwind in Newport Beach is the Big Belly Deli. �
On the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH), the Big Belly Deli is easy to spot (not right on the beach, but walking distance from the beach). Enjoy a true southern California afternoon sitting at the wood-lined bar, taking in the surfer memorabilia, catching some of whatever sports game is on, enjoying a fresh homemade meal.
My personal favorite (when I've worked up an appetite at the beach) is the Belly Buster (Salami, Canadian bacon, ham and pepperoni topped with lettuce, tomato, onion, provolone cheese, Italian dressing, mayo and mustard) which will run you a measly $6.49.
Other menu items include the Rajun Cajun sandwich, Newport Cheesesteak sandwich as well as several salad, soup and pizzas selections. I have yet to be disappointed with any sandwich I have ordered here.
