Breakfast in Laguna Beach
There is nothing better than enjoying a healthy, delicious breakfast with an ocean view and a great cup of coffee. Unless of course, you are doing it at a friendly little place in Laguna Beach called Heidelberg Pastry Bistro.
Heidelberg's is perhaps one of my favorite places in grab a leisurely breakfast, complete with people watching and morning sunshine out on the restaurant-front patio. Never mind that some of the popular TV show Laguna Beach was shot at this very cafe, the atmosphere is laid back and friendly with the typically Laguna resident taking in the morning newspaper with a large coffee.
Healthy and delicious menu choices include fruit plates, eggs benedict and Belgium waffles. Being a coffee aficionado, I like my coffee strong and flavorful, and have always been satisfied with the large lattés they cheerfully serve in oversized cups.
Location is everything, and I highly recommend walking the one block walk down Brooks street to the beach (a popular surf spot) where you can walk along the beach unimpeded all the way to Laguna's Main Beach.
Just south of Laguna's Main Beach, the Heidelberg Pastry Bistro is located at the corner of PCH and Brooks Street, 1100 Pacific Coast Highway.
