Calypso Music in the Park



The city of Newport Beach is hosting a summer concert series. Tonight kicks off the first concert at Bob Henry Park at 6 pm featuring Upstream. The concerts are free, just bring along a chair and blanket and get set to enjoy an evening of great music.

Summer is here



The red bathing suits and swim caps are a sign that summer has officially arrived in Newport Beach and the Junior Lifeguard Program is busting with young swimmers and lifeguards to be. Had I grown up in Newport Beach I would have been a participant of this program every summer. I am still trying to figure out a way to join.
The program is open to children ages 9-15 ...

Looking for free WIFI in Newport Beach



Whether you are a visitor to Newport Beach or a resident there are times you may want to just log on-like last weekend we were going to a friend's birthday party and I had not written down the directions properly-fortunately I had my laptop in the car. So out I jumped at Apple and logged here.

Meet the Author of The Devil Wears Prada



Lauren Weisberger will be at the Newport Beach public library on Thursday to promote her knew book, Chasing Harry Winston. The event will be held at 7 p.m. at the main library. While the event is free there is a suggested $10 donation.

I can only imagine what "Chasing Harry Winston" is about. I loved The Devil Wears Prada for what is was worth. A fun book ...
