Here is a strange news story that I have been following for a few days now. For some reason police responded to the room of a New Zealand native staying at the Fairmont Hotel in Newport Beach. For those of you are not familiar with the hotel, it is an upscale hotel. Check it out at www.fairmont.com. Rumor has it the guest had been staying at the hotel for a few years. It was suspected that he was dealing drugs-given the hotel room runs $150-$200 a night you would have to be selling a lot of drugs to pay for the room. While the police were searching the room for drugs they came upon a rubbremaid container.
So the police did what police do best-they snooped and searched it. Inside was the body of a woman. She apparantly has been dead for quite awhile but it does not appear to be a homicide. Toxicology results are pending.
According to a bartender the man and woman used to come into the bar quite often. However about a year ago, the Kiwi mentioned that his girlfriend had died and he had a memorial service.
Quite strange is all I have to say.
