Winds Crack Tree
Yesterday I went to Fashion Island to check out the holiday sales. Do not waste your times. The sales are not that great. I am not sure what sales the newspapers are reporting on, however there was nothing fantastic. However I did notice that the Christmas tree had been taken down.
Initially I thought this to be quite strange. The tree went up after Thanksgiving-I thought it would be here until at least New Years or January 6th which is Ephiny for many Orthodox Christians.
Who knows? Maybe there would be a New Years Ball coming to be dropped. As it turns out, on Christmas Day Newport Beach had winds gusting up to 50 mph. These winds wreaked havoc on the tree. Under the pressure of the wind the tree started to stoop. Then the trunk started cracking. The poor tree came to a quick end yesterday. It could no longer hold it;'s weight and had to be chopped down.
Maybe there will be a New Years Bon Fire.
