Orange Street Fair



Dowtown Orange is a short drive up the 55 freeway from Newport Beach.  This weekend Orange will be celebrating the International Street  Fair.  If you have never been to downtown Orange it is a fun area-the downtown area centers around the Orange circle.  Here there are numerous antique shops and small businesses.

The fair stretches throughout the downtown area with different countries on each block.  Two of my favourite countries to visit ...

Spa Day at St. John Knits



Trunk shows are always fun to attend.  Everyone enjoys glamour and an escape from imagination.  While you watch the show you can day dream away imagining yourself strolling down the catwalk or dancing the night away in your new clothes.

Hope and a little sugar



If you enjoy off beat movies then make your way to the Orange County Museum of Art.  OCMA in conjunction with the Newport Beach Film Festival is hosting their final summer film; Hope and a Little Sugar.

Learning to Paint at Sea



Have you always wanted to paint a scenic painting but never quite had the inspiration for the landscape or known what to do?

Carole Boller, a local resident artist will take out women to sea and help them capture a scene on canvas.  Carole supplies the paint, palettes, canvas brushes, delicious snacks, a gourmet lunch and refreshments.

Poncho Sanchez Live



Poncho Sanchez will be the finale concert to the Fashion Island Summer Concert Series on August 15th.  Sanchez tells the story of Latin Jazz music with his congos and ensemble doing the talking.  The concert is guaranteed to get the crowd up and dancing.

Surf Camp



Quicksilver and Roxy are offering week long surf camps for children ages 8-14.  The cost of camp is $500 per week and runs Monday thru Friday 9:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m.  In addition to learning how to surf participants will learn ocean science topics such as waes and tides, marine biology, coastal ecology and beach profiles.oo6-1nrea

Shakespeare by the Sea



Shakespeare by the Sea is a small production company made up of volunteers that travel up and down the coast bringing Shakespeare to our backyards.  They always put on a great performance.  This weekend the will be performing at Grant Howard Park in Corona Del Mar on Saturday and Sunday eve.
