Italian food in Venice

Last night I went to an Italian restaurant right on the shore in Venice. Although a lot of people were queueing up outside, the waiting time wasn't that bad at all; we were seated within twenty minutes.
Not too bad when you know these people at C&O Trattoria in Venice have no free table ever.
Why that is?

Because C& O Trattoria lures tourists, beachgoers, locals and everybody else who's hungry into their cosy yet fun atmosphered place with the smell of buttery garlic rolls, which are complimentary. Their food is very reasonably priced, and their portions generous. The outdoor patio is gigantic, yet feels like a large living room, with heaters eveywhere, so nobody will be cold.
The wine is brought in a big jar and measured per honor system. Keep track of your consumption, because you pour wine yourself. When you're finished, stretch your legs and walk to the beach. It's only a minute away.

C&O Trattoria is located on 31 Washington Boulevard, and perhaps it would be wise to put your name on the list beforehand. Call them at 310-823 9491. And if you hear all patrons singing: 'That's Amore", you will know you dialed the right number.

Enjoy!

If you like pre-cooked, soggy pasta and jug wine this is your place.....I would avoid Washington Bl. as a dining destination altogether - nothing but tourist food there....good Italian is hard to find period in Venice/Santa Monica area unless u want to pay up for Valentino or the Italian place at 5 Dudley....I would head to Il Forno in Sunset Park area or if you're already in the MdR area go to Alejo's in strip mall on SE corner of Lincoln/Washington - same wait, same price range, somewhat better food, much better wine (still free BYOB?) and most importantly NO cheesy singing waiters trying to charm tips out of tourists........
