Kayak Rentals in Belmont Shores
Summer comes sooner every year, it seems. And that’s great news for anyone who wants to partake of the season’s pleasures while getting a jump on the summer crowds.
Long Beach, being a seaside city, obviously has a lot to offer visitors seeking sun and surf. Unfortunately, the city also attracts massive gatherings during the summer months, especially around the landmark areas of Shoreline Village and The Pike.
My suggestion is to head over toward Belmont Shores, an area situated along Ocean Blvd, just off Second Street and Bayshore Drive.
Here on the sandy beaches generally populated by local residents, you’ll find the Kayak Kafe.
One of the more interesting activities offered is the rental of an easy-to-pilot sea kayak. The cost is $10-per-hour for a single boat and $20-per-hour for a double. Aboard the vessel, skippers of all ages will enjoy the serene and scenic views of Belmont Shores, Mother’s Beach, and the beautiful Naples area. The waters are calm and the sights are stunning. This is easily my favorite area of Long Beach.
Tourists will find the area more unspoiled and family friendly than many of the other popular beach attractions and locales.
The Kayak Kafe also provides food and beverage service, catering, beach parties, birthday parties, special events, and weddings right on the shores of the bay.
