Starting Mid February to the end of April, JEFF OLAN CASTING will be casting Paid EXTRAS for the major dramatic feature film "CROSSING OVER", a film from the director of "The Cooler", Wayne Kramer. On Saturday, January 20th, from 10:00am to 3:30pm, JOC will be holding a free OPEN CALL for this project.
JOC is seeking ethnic males and females from various backgrounds: MIDDLE EASTERN, INDIAN, HISPANIC, ASIAN, AFRICAN AMERICAN, all shades of skin tones. There are possible multiple day calls for many ethnicities including KOREAN, CHINESE, JAPENESE, FILIPENO, and MEXICAN. We will need people of all ages, however, for parents of minors interested in working this project, submit a copy of the childs entertainment work permit and bring in a current photo of the child; the child NEED NOT ATTEND the open call. For those who want to get your kids involved, but do not have an entertainment work permit, still bring childs photo and we will give you information on how to get the work permit.
The open casting call will be held at the offices of JOC: 14044 Ventura Blvd., Suite # 209, Sherman Oaks, CA 91423. You can find parking at the meters, on side streets,, or at the grocery store across the street. Come dressed in nice casual clothing, although if you own ethnic garb feel free to wear that. Bring two forms of ID and give yourself an hour at the open call.
JOC will be offering free registration for the "CROSSING OVER" project ONLY at this open call, but if you would like to be considered for ALL OF JOC's projects, such as "GREY'S ANATOMY" and "MEDIUM", we also offer the option of full one-time Computer Imaging fee of $25.00. We will be registering on the 20th for that too. If you are an ethnic person already registered with JOC, we encourage you to come to the open call and have us take a current photo of yourself for only $5.00. Make sure that you bring two forms of ID and if you are not with JOC, feel free to bring a current photo with you to the open call for "Crossing Over".
