Nature Walks Along the San Joaquin River


The San Joaquin River can easily be called “a river betrayed.” However, much has been done to restore the river that used to be the longest in California. Fresno's Meux Home: A bit of Victorian history


If you love old Victorian homes, then you have to visit the Meux Home located in downtown Fresno. Featured in a painting by popular artist, Thomas Kinkade titled “Christmas Memories, the Meux Home was built in 1888 by Dr. Thomas Richard Meux, a Civil War Confederate surgeon from Tennessee. It is a well-preserved and beautiful house worth visiting.
