I’ve written for USA Today, stringer; The San Francisco Chronicle, writer; and for the Foster City Islander, reporter. While I was a teacher for the San Francisco Unified School District( 35-years), I worked as a summer Sheriff Deputy for the Tuolumne County Sheriff Office. I was a Natioal Ski Patrolman for thirteen years and an ski instructor for three years.

I taught writing to eighth graders for several years, when I was teaching. I am now living in Foster City, California, with my wife, daughter, and grandchildren.
