WHAT YOUNG CHILDREN DO, CAN SURPRISE YOU!
A child's mind works in strange ways. We had this experience when we visited our three grandchildren, two three-year-olds, twins, and one six-year-old.
We left Foster City, California, around 12:40p.m. and arrived in Citrus Heights, California, about 3:30p.m.; there was little traffic. The children were waiting for us since my wife called them and told them we were coming. The children are staying in Citrus Heights, California: we found special schools that they can attend this winter: the school meets their needs. We wanted to see the children because we missed them, and my wife wanted to tell them, personally, that she is netting each one a blanket.
One reason children are funny, is that you never know what they are thinking, and usually they will surprise you on what they will do. As an example: My wife's sister and brother-in-law, who are taking care of the children while they are going to school, invited us for dinner.
When we were eating, my brother-in-law said to one of the twins (the boy), "Eat all of your green beans!" "I don't want to." he said staring at the green beans. My sister-in-law then said, "Just eat half of them." The little boy looked at her for a long minute and smiled. He took one green bean, split it in half and ate that half, the other half he put on his plate. Took another green bean and did the same thing. He did this until he finished all of his beans.
Meanwhile, the six of us were laughing at the seriousness he had while eating his beans; he did not know that we were watching him.
Again, I say, "You never know what children are thinking, until they surprise you on what they will do.
