A COMMUNITY CENTER FOR FOSTER CITY, CALIFORNIA
While having breakfast with friends, several years ago, in Foster City, I was asked, "Are you going to join the new Jewish Center, when it opens up on Foster City Boulevard in Foster City, California?"
The members of the Jewish Center in Belmont, California, wanted to move into a larger facility. After a long search, they decided, with approval and several conditions, set down by the Foster City council, to move to Foster City Boulevard. The Jewish Center build a facility that has two swimming pool, indoor and an outdoor, physical fitness rooms, classrooms, conference rooms, and will have an auditorium that can be rented for community activities.
I said, "My wife and I haven't decided." "You better, if your going to join, do it soon, to get the discount that Foster City residents are offered." I thought, he's right! We better make up our minds soon. I said, "That my wife and I will talk it over when I get home."
We joined, but we haven't really used it yet. When I drive by the facility, the parking lot is always full: it looks like it was a good move for the center and the people of Foster City. Our grandchild has gone to pre-school there and really enjoyed the school.
If you are in the area and want to work out or go swimming; you can get a guest card , for a small fee, and work out at the center.
This is one way of having a good time when you are staying in the area of Foster City, California.
