FOSTER CITY--IT'S GOING TO BE A HOT SUMMER
Summer is here when the temperature in Foster City, California, hit 90-plus. In other areas of the state, the temperatures are even higher. So, everyone trys to cool off--I mean everyone, the animals too.
Don't be surprised to find in your swimming pool an uninvited guest. It could be Yogi Bear; the flower of the woods, a skunk; or a black bear, who likes to swim in swimming pools .
A Shasta County resident, with a kidney shape swimming pool, the way the story goes, heard splashing noises and frollcking in his swimming pool. When he went to investigate, he found a six-foot black bear enjoying himself swimming. After trashing the pool-sweep, the bear got tired and rested in a pool-side love seat.
Oh, yes! After the bear was chased away, he came back and was caught peeking into the living room. "He was looking in the window, only a few inches from the glass." the resident said.
A California Fish and Game warden gave a permit to have the bear killed, but the resident didn't want the bear killed: he only wanted the bear scared away, hopefully.
As you can see, even, the California animals know that this is going to be a hot summer, and they are only looking for a place to cool off.
