Tonight The Grove in LA will be lighting their Christmas Tree at 7:30 p.m. I realize that LA is not Orange County and yes this means getting on the 405 and driving. However this Christmas Tree celebration will be well worth. The tree at The Grove stands at 110 feet-it is the largest tree in Los Angeles. There will be all sorts of entertainment and celebrations. ...

Last year I discovered a new perfume, Jo Malone. The lady behind the perfume has an interesting story-apparently she was working in a spa and as Christmas presents for her favorite clients she put together some perfumes and gave them out as presents. One client liked her perfume so much she asked for 50 sets for guests at a dinner party. Well the rest is history.

I was in San Francisco this past weekend and the one thing that struck me the most when I was at the markets-were the lack of plastic shopping bags. San Fran has passed an ordinance restricting plastic bags in grocery stores. Everyone shops with a canvas or cloth bag or a basket.
Earth Day was just last week and it is a great idea. Why load up on ...

Pottery Barns around the country are hosting complimentary flower arranging classes. This is an event that will be fun for all. Anyone can go buy a bouquet of flowers, however arranging and displaying them always makes a difference.
The event will be hosted on May 4th. Contact your local Pottery Barn to make a reservation.

For those who ever visited the Pottery Shack in Laguna Beach, you would remember it with fond memories. It was a great ecletic place to get Christmas decorations and pottery for the home. The store shut down a few years ago. However the ambience and environment of the Shack is still well and alive. The premises is now a collection of interesting stores.
One of my favorite stores is the Laguna ...
