Where is everyone this morning?
It is only 6:30 a.m. on the West Coast, but I notice that there are no posts on the site yet? Where is everyone? I am assuming that on the East Coast there will be a lot of people calling in sick today or straggling in late after staying up last night. Yesterday evening was an exciting evening. For me, it was even more special. I have lived in the U.S. for almost 17 years and it was my first election where I could vote. I became a citizen just over a year ago.
Part of my decision in becoming a citizen was because I was so frustrated that I lived in a country and could not vote. Yesterday morning, I was at the polls bright and early casting my ballot.
We all witnessed history happening before our eyes last night as, Barack and Biden were elected to fill the position of the President and the Vice-President. Congratulations to both of them. It will be refreshing to have a young President in the white house, with new ideas. His work will be cut out for him, however what is a task without a challenge?
