Revolving Sushi
Kura Sushi on 17th Street in Costa Mesa is home to revolving Sushi. Revolving Sushi you ask-what is that. You sit at the bar or at a table and sushi comes around on a conveyer belt. Not just sushi, little yogurt drinks, saki and anything else you can think of at a sushi bar. It is really a novel concept.
You just sit down and the sushi goes by. It is a great way to have a look at what you are eating before you order it and decide it does not look all that great. The sushi here is good and fresh. One of the concepts I liked the most is that the sushi is small. This is a great way to try a number of different foods without getting filled up. The prices here are also very reasonable. The plates to the sushi are color coded-I think I remember green, blue, pink and orange plates. Each plate is a different color-so you know how much the sushi is before you grab it. At the end of the evening you just add up your plates.
