I was in San Francisco this past weekend and the one thing that struck me the most when I was at the markets-were the lack of plastic shopping bags. San Fran has passed an ordinance restricting plastic bags in grocery stores. Everyone shops with a canvas or cloth bag or a basket.
Earth Day was just last week and it is a great idea. Why load up on plastic bags and pollute the earth.
