Tet Celebrations

Tet, the most important holiday in Vietnam, marking the New Year, is this Thursday Febraury 7th.  The Vietanmese base their holiday on the Chinese lunar calender.  In Southern California we are fortunate as Little Saigon in Westminister has one of the largest Vietanmese communities outside of Vietnam.  To celebrate Tet, Vietnamese spend the holiday with family.

2008 is the Year of the Rat.  Rats are considered to be leaders and conquerers. The weekend of February 8th will have celebrations in Westminister for Tet.  There will be entertainment, food stalls and a parade.  If you have never participated in Tet celebrations this will be a fun occaision not to be missed.
