Here is an interesting concept behind a new restaurant in Costa Mesa, raw vegan food. That is definately a niche market. You are either vegan or you are not. You either want hot food or cold.
I have not tried the restaurant and I am not sure if I will. The photographs of the food do look appetizing. I like protein. I do not need to get my protein from meat, fish or tofu are good substitutes but I do like my protein. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The selections on the menu do look interesting if not slightly expensive. I can not justify spending $6.00 on a pot of tea whether or not the tea is organic. Appetizers range from $6 to $10 dollars. Dinner entrees are $9.00 to $25 for the sampler plate.
Restaurant owner Jenny Ross has been eating raw vegan for 7 years now. This is her second restaurant. Congratulations to her and I wish her success.
I will be curious to taste the food and look forward to hearing from those that have.
