Abercombie and Fitch
I was at the mall today finishing off my Christmas shopping. There were some interesting observations to be made. The mall was not that crowded and almost every store had a sale of some sort going on.
I had read in the newspapers that stores were trying all sorts of gimics to get shoppers in the door and spending money.
While Abercombie's gimic is not new it is interesting. In the front of the store is a young male with fantastic abs-standing there in low cut jeans and a parka. I am not sure who he is trying to lure into the store.
I would be curious to see what his job description is. Are there any terms-must do 100 crunches daily, cannot have any fat on his belly.
People will do almost anything to make a sale. This is an interesting approach.
