The Yard House Restaurant
Last night I went out with a girlfriend to celebrate a new job. We did not leave the house until after 9:30. She is European, so for her it is de rigeur. For me quite unusual on a Wednesday night. My husband was already in bed reading by the time I was out the door. But what the heck we were celebrating.
She had gone to Pilates before coming over. You have to admire a woman who does not let Pilates get in the way of celebrating a new job. Off to the Yard House in Triangle Square we went. I have been to Yard Houses before, but not in a few years.
We were welcomed by a friendly hostess when we arrrived. We started off with the lettuce wraps as an appetizer. They were quite tasty and appealing. You had your choice of mushroom, chicken or shrimp filling. We went with the shrimp which was her choice. That is always the benefit of dining with someone knew, you try things you may not have otherwise.
We did not leave until around midnight and the bar was still hopping. The restaurant is now decorated for Christmas and has a nice festive feel to it.
For a quick impromptu late night celebration it footed the bill. Next time I will get there earlier, so I can stay awake during my meal.
