Carlsbad Surf School Offers Lessons 365 Days A Year
No visit to sunny Southern California is complete without a trip to the beach, and what better way is there to enjoy the sand and the surf than perching yourself atop a surfboard and riding the waves? I have to confess, I've lived in California my entire life and my surf experience is limited to the use of a boogie board, but I've always wanted to learn how to surf. There have only been two things that have prevented me from achieving my goal. One-I do not own a surfboard. Two-I have no clue how to traverse the waves. Well, the other day, I learned that Carlsbad has a surf school for wanna-be Gidgets and Moondoggies. The surf school provides a foam surfboard, a wetsuit, a rashguard, and a two hour lesson. The lesson fees range from $30.00-$90.00 per person, depending on the size of the group. I'm looking forward to this summer, and who knows you may see me riding the waves one of these days.
