Restaurant Review #1: Fish House Vera Cruz is the Catch of the Day
If you enjoy fresh seafood, like me, then Fish House Vera Cruz will not fail to please the palate. The restaurant offers a supplemental menu with fresh fish picks for the day. My personal favorites are the Opah fish, which is viewed by some as a “Good Luck Fish,” the California Troll King Salmon, and the Mako Shark. The fish arrives at the table grilled to perfection and topped with a variety of seasonings. The chef will prepare the fish Teriyaki style upon request. The meal starts with a loaf of steaming-hot sourdough bread. One also has a choice of three side dishes. The side dish offerings include rich pilaf, salad, Romano mashed potatoes, cottage cheese, or strawberries. Fish House Vera Cruz offers great food at an affordable price. One can expect to pay $15-$25 per guest. In addition, the atmosphere is comfortable and casual, and there is the visual appeal of the restaurant’s aquariums, which include a variety of colorful fish.
