Run, Don't Walk, to the Carlsbad Marathon and Health Expo
Runners from throughout San Diego County will gather for the annual Carlsbad Marathon at the Westfield Plaza Camino Real Mall January 19-21. For 14 years, San Diego residents have become involved in the marathon for a number of reasons. There are those individuals who thrive on competition, others who use the event to meet new people, and then there are the community members who want to cheer on friends/family members. No matter the reason, we welcome everyone to attend the marathon. The event will kick off with a two day health expo which will include clothing and equipment vendors. Event organizers will also distribute t-shirts, bibs, and timing chips to marathon participants during the expo. If you’re a slowpoke, like me, don’t despair. The marathon includes an early 5:30 a.m. start for those who choose to walk, and every participant who reaches the finish line will receive a commemorative medal.
Health Expo hours: Jan. 19 (2-6pm), Jan. 20 (10am-5pm), and Jan. 21 (7am-noon)
