Canyon Ranch in Tucson

Everyone has heard about it. Oprah gives away trips to here, celebrities use it as an escape, authors (like Karen Quinn) take annual trips to this paradise, Karen Neuburger has a Girlfriends Getaway coming up, and the list goes on. This "place" is heaven on earth, or rather Canyon Ranch.

Before you arrive you must know Canyon Ranch has a holistic mentality with good health in mind for everyone there. Don't expect to arrive and be greeted with a fruity cocktail or fine glass of wine. There is no alcohol on the premises. (If you do go into town for a drink, don't get a DUI. You will never live it down. Ask a certain past guest.)

Living in Tucson I don't know too many people who have visited this haven, yet I was privileged enough to get to spend a day there this past weekend.

What can I say other than Canyon Ranch is spectacular. The staff is accommodating and friendly. The workshops/lectures are informative and the exercise classes are very good. (Heck, I'm still hurting from the stretching class I attended.) The massage was perfect and so was the cucumber and lemon water in the ladies locker room.  The food is divine and I met some amazing men and woman from all over the world. In face, I think every person I met, except one, was a repeat visitor.

When you look at the prices your jaw may or may not drop. If it does, don't despair. You can still enjoy a day there if you happen to be in town. Spa Days are offered (depending on availability) and includes a spa treatment, lunch, and use of the facilities.
