Some films shot here in Tucson
Tucson has always been a great location to film western movies like the 1966 El Dorado, starring John Wayne and Robert Mitchum but there have been a few others filmed here, too. So add these to your Netflix Queue and keep an eye out for Tucson.
The 1974 Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore starring Ellen Burstyn and Kris Kristoferson was filmed in downtown's The Chicago Store plus many other scenes were filmed throughout Tucson.
Some of Stir Crazy (1980) starring Richard Pryor was filmed here such as the bank-robbery scene in the old Valley National Bank building which is now Bank One & the rodeo was filmed at the Rodeo Grounds.
Can't Buy Me Love (1987) starring (the now known as McDreamy) Patrick Dempsey, had shots filmed at Tucson High School, Tucson Mall, and the Davis Monthan Boneyards.
There were also a couple of shots filmed here for Boys On The Side (1995), starring Whoopi Goldberg, Drew Barrymore, Mary-Louise Parker, and Matthew McConaughey.
