Oak Creek Canyon - Closed
Oak Creek Canyon is closed until at least March 5th to repair a section of the road the fell into the canyon. The closure occurred a day early as a snowstorm swept through northern Arizona and made the road unsafe. The retaining walls on either side of the break will be joined together with steel rods cemented into the canyon wall. This mostly affects visitors traveling between Sedona and Flagstaff.
So if you're planning a trip in that are, you'll need to take the longer route using Highway 179 and I-17.
