Vortexes
Sedona is said to have a very high spiritual energy, and attracts many visitors each year specifically for this reason. These energies are referred to as Vortexes, and are located in specific areas of Sedona. These areas include Bell Rock, Cathedral Rock, Airport Mesa, and Boynton Canyon. So what is it that causes a vortex?
Some look at it from a scientific view. Sedona's landscape has a very high iron content, which is what causes the red color in the rocks. This same iron may causes magnetic activity that affects blood flow through the body, and slight variances in blood flow can have an emotional impact on the brain. Others see it as a purely spiritual experience, with rejuvenating energy flowing through their body and increasing the quality of their lives. Many say that a small amount of time spent near a vortex causes a profound change.
In any case, this phenomenon attracts thousands of people every year to this unique part of the globe.
