Summer Chill at Kierland Commons

I just saw the poster for this a few days ago while taking a stroll to B&N to check out some books and I thought it would be fun to go to. In fact, I've already emailed my boyfriend's sister and sister-in-law so they can bring their kids there, with a bribe of free refreshments at our apartment. Hah!

On August 24 to 26, there will be an ice skating rink and snowfall at Kierland Commons. Whee! The ice rink will be located north of Barnes of Noble, near the center Plaza.

Rentals skates are $2 for adults and $1 for children 12 and under. Proceeds will benefit the Emily Center at Phoenix Children's Hospital.

If you want to drop by, here are the dates and hours:
August 24-26 (Friday to Sunday)
11am - 10pm on Friday and Saturday
11am - 6pm Sunday

For more details, visit their event page or call the Kierland Marketing Department at 480.348.1577.

Cheers.

North of B&N...you mean in the fountain area where kids usually play in a big puddle dodging sporadic jets of water? I love pretending to read a new book while sitting and watching the kids play, but this latest heat wave has wiped me out. Ice and snow actually sound good right about now!

I think that's where it is. It sounds good, alright! We're planning to go for sure!
