Hello Mesa-Phoenix Gateway Airport!



Well, it's official, Williams Gateway Airport is no more. In homage to the contribution of Lt. Charles L. Williams,  for whom the Air Force Base and later the municipal airport had been named, the passenger terminal will be renamed. Mesa Celebrates Old & New

It's official. Williams Gateway Airport will vanish into the mists of time on October 15, 2007. On that day Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport will unveil a new logo and other branding elements. Sad as it is to see the community turning its back on part of its history, the name change also heralds a news beginning of nonstop service to 13 new destinations.

Mercury Wins! Mercury Wins!



Detroit fans were stunned Sunday night when the Phoenix Mercury defeated the Shocks 108 - 92, winning Game 5 of the WNBA Championship series. After being down two games to one, the Mercury turned things around and are now the 2007 WNBA Champions!

Mercury Take WNBA Championships to Game 5

Seven More Lucky Cities Getting Direct Air Service to Mesa



Direct, non-stop service between Williams Gateway (Phoenix-Mesa) Airport and seven additional cities has recently been announced by Allegiant Airways. These new routes bring the total number of routes announced in August to 11, meaning only 2 more routes have yet to be revealed before the September 16 deadline set by Allegiant.
