The arrival of the Beckhams in Los Angeles isn't the only big soccer news. The Copa Panamericana tournament which begins Monday evening at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, is bringing some of the best players on two continents to Phoenix for a week.
Six teams divided into two groups will play three games to decide which two teams will face each other in Sunday's championship ...

Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers opened their 2007 American tour Friday night with a mini-concert after a Diamondbacks game at Chase Field. The D-backs got the good mood started with an 8 to 3 win over the San Diego Padres. After an amazingly short break for set up, Roger and the guys took the stage along first base line and rocked thousands of fans who had lingered after the ...

Have you ever sat around watching golf, clicking through the channels with your remote like a listless robot? Yummy, that funny cooking show, oh look- the Simpsons, Survivor man, Wheel of Fortune, Cheers... After a while, your eyes go weary, your head sinks into the couch pillow and you wake up in a pool of drool with a cat kneading your belly.
HELLO! Time to wake up. It's Springtime in ...

How can you not love those stunted little bodies and floppy ears? Short hair, long hair, no hair, just get those little weiners to scuttle around and I am happy.
At Phoenix Greyhound park tomorrow night, you can see the competitive spirit within those good-natured little pooches as they duke it out in the 2007 Weiner Dog Nationals. Who knew? Admission is only $2, and it goes to the Adopt a Greyhound charity. Everything ...

Is Jesus your personal savior? Let me tell you friend, he wants to get to know you. If you died tomorrow, do you know where you'd go?
Me? Probably hell after that terrible imitation of a fire and brimestone preacher, but I did it my way. Not that it makes me feel any better or that the flames of eternal damnation will be any less hot.
But if you want to see something hot, check ...

Spring Training Baseball in the Cactus League is in full stride. With spring break comes many days of finding things to do and kids home from school. I have noticed the attendance at these spring break hideouts increasing by the basbeall fan every game. I had the chance to go out to a few games and see all the stadiums in the phoenix area. All the stadiums in Phoenix are within ...

I was able to walk around downtown Phoenix the other day amidst all the light rail congestion, and came upon the US Airways Center. I was pleased to see a display board surrounded by palm trees telling me about all the upcoming events from concerts to sporting events and the sports store located on the north side of the arena. What used to be called America West Arena took on a huge face-lift ...

I found one of the best hidden hotels for easy access to nearly anywhere in the Pheonix/Tempe/Scottsdale area. It is located right by Papago Park and blocks from the Oakland Athletics Spring Training facility.
The Motel 6 prices range from $47.69 - $67.99/night. I have stayed there and it has better than average rooms, with a swimming pool. The great thing is that it is close to Tempe's Mill Avenue, Old Scottsdale and only six miles from downtown Phoenix.
