Phoenix Overnighter - Tombstone

So you want to take a trip through history and/or get out of the 110 degree heat? Then Tombstone is the place to check into a hotel for a night! As my #2 favorite place outside Phoenix, here's a 'Heads Up': with the exception of a couple saloons, Allen street rolls up about 6:00 pm, so get an early start for sightseeing. According to Mapquest.com, Tombstone is 184.27 miles, or 3 hours, 2 minutes away. But by missing both Phoenix and Tucson high traffic hours, I make it in 2 hours, 30 minutes (or so).

Where the Boys Are: University of Florida Gators Found at Scottsdale Plaza

Everyone wants to party with the players, especially if they win Monday’s Bowl Championship Series (BCS) game. I won’t wager on the Tostitos BCS Championship, but I can tell you where to find the members of the University of Florida football team while they are in town: http://www.scottsdaleplaza.com/index.htm the Scottsdale Plaza Resort.
