Experience the 4th Dimension on July 5

What is the nature of time? How do dreams and reality connect?

OK, these questions might be a bit deep for a long holiday weekend. Or maybe not, the Founding Fathers dreamed of freedom and we experience the reality of that freedom every day. Either way, the folks at No Festival Required and Space 55 are offering us the opportunity to delve more deeply into questions of time and dreams and reality with a screening of "The Fourth Dimension" at 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 5 at Space 55.

"The 4th Dimension exemplifies the best of independent filmmaking by using intelligence and creativity to explore the very nature of existence and art," says Trevor Groth, CineVegas Director of Programming and Sundance Senior Programmer. "It marks the emergence of exciting new voices and deserves to be seen by a wide audience."
Writer/directors Tom Mattera and Dave Mazzoni take the audience on a meditative journey through the mind of an introverted genius named Jack who becomes compulsive about analyzing time and its relation to supernatural experiences, dreams and reality. It has been described as Kafkaesque, "stylistically channeling David Lynch and David Aronofsky" and "an Alice-like rabbit hole of suppressed memories". Watch the trailer at www.4thdmovie.org.
Space 55 is located at 636 E. Piece St. (just south of Roosevelt and west of 7th St.). Admission to the First Friday show is $6.

Dispute Re: Squaw Peak Resort

To whom it may concern,

My husband and 3 children stayed at the Squaw Peak Resort Hilton in Phoenix from May 15th to June 23rd 2009 40 days. Our stay was necessary due to water damages at our home, which forced a temporary leave during the restoration period. During our stay, we incurred over $8,280 in room cost plus tax an additional $90 for Family Fun Pack for use of the phone in our rooms free of charge and the water park.

Upon arrival, we were told by Zakee Jones, the front desk services manager, that at the end of our stay we would get a food credit for $350 for the first two weeks and additional $350 food credits for every two weeks thereafter. This was confirmed verbally to me and my husband (face to face and over the phone) several times. Gary Jermoth also confirmed this as well. Staying there so long we worked with several of the front desk employees and Gary and Zakee were always referred too. These were food credits and no physical vouchers were given to us as we were told they were not needed and the credit would be applied at check out. We were not expecting to have to stay so long and got a confirmation from Zakee Jones that we could get at least two food credits at total of $700.00 dollars.

At the time of check out, this credit was not on the receipt and Gary said he would speak to Zakee to get it taken care of and get back to us but not to worry and we checked out. To this date, we have not heard from Gary Jermouth or Zakee Jones and have left several messages as well as going there physically. We were getting ignored and getting the runaround. We then received a bill in the mail from Squaw Peak Resort which still did not have the credits applied. We again tried to contact Zakee and Gary and never got our calls returned or taken. After our many attempts to communicate with the hotel, this is our only protection from this form of fraud and unapproved charges. To date our credit card company is not able to do anything further at this point. After receiving more than $10,000 dollars for our stay, Hilton Squaw Peak Resort would lye about $700 worth of food charges. We were re-reimbursed for most food expenses OUTSIDE the Hotel by our insurance company State Farm, so why in the world would we incurred this cost to our selves unless we were not promised credit by Zakee Jones and the Hilton Squaw Peak Resort.
