Welcome AANEM
The the 54th Annual Meeting of the American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnositc Medicine (AANEM), the world's largest organization of physicians dedicated to advancing neuromuscular, musculoskeletal and electrodiagnostic medicine, is being held this week at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort in Scottsdale. A record-breaking 1,000+ members are expected to attend.
The plenary session for the meeting is entitled “Gait and Motion: Stepping into the 21st Century” and features medical experts on the subject of gait. Neuromuscular medicine will be highlighted in the new Neuromuscular Update Courses where 10 neuromuscular topics will be covered throughout a one-and-a-half day session during the meeting. Topics include limb-girdle weakness, Anderson-Tawil syndrome, stiff-person syndrome, and zinc neuromyelopathy. The Neuromuscular Update Courses are just some of over 80 educational sessions offered throughout the 4-day meeting.
