A Perfect Phoenix Morning
This morning was one of those wonderful summer mornings long-time residents of the Valley savor. Temperatures lingered below 90 degrees (Fahrenheit) until almost noon, thanks to overcast skies brought in by the monsoon. The humidity was higher than normal, but a light breeze kept it from being oppressive
On days like this, locals linger over breakfast or coffee on patios. They stroll through parks and neighborhoods. They get out and do yard work or play with the kids. Bikes are ridden. I took my dog for a long walk. In other words, it was the kind of morning that proves people really do live here year round and enjoy it.
Of course, Phoenix isn't the only place this type of weather occurs. Many visitors are familiar with temperatures in the upper 80's. The difference is that most visitors expect to see such weather in the late afternoon, not when they wake up.
