The Phoenix Airport Marriott provides a great experience
I have recently stayed in Phoenix, Arizona at a quaint, classy and progressive hotel. I would be in and out of this wonderful city for a 3-day business trip, and needed a place to stay close to the airport. Within minutes of arriving at baggage claim, I was picked up by the Airport Marriott shuttle, handed a bottled water and swooped back to the hotel in about 8 minutes. I was pleased to walk into the main entrance, and view an atrium with all the amenities I desire in a multi-faceted hotel.
The concierge desk was on my right when I walked in and the check-in was ready with my door key on the left side atop a majestic marble countertop. The bar was placed in the back right corner with a large sitting area beside the bar where waiters met me for my order and excellent timing. I was excited about the nice, quiet pool area with towels aplenty between the pool and the nicely located weightroom with everything I needed. The weight room featured treadmills, cardio machines, free weights, a leg press, ab cycles and ice cold water fountains. The rooms were definitely above and beyond my expectations with more than comfortable beds, large bathrooms, marble countertops, fantastic and speedy room service, and scenic views of downtown phoenix, tempe town lake and the ASU campus.
The bell men were right on cue and knew exactly what I needed in toiletries and bag service. I noticed walking through the hotel some massive conference rooms with small ones for intimate meetings and audio visual setups. I was helped at the concierge desk by local tee-time specials, fine dining reservations, and a day-trip planned to Sedona and the Casino. I was quite pleased with the service of this hotel located off 44th and McDowell close to Tempe, Old Town Scottsdale, the spring training baseball stadiums and the all the Mariott golf courses. I would rate my stay at the Phoenix Airport Marriott an 8.5 out of 10 and will be coming back sometime soon to check out Arizona's 4 major sports teams, the 2008 Super Bowl, and some great college football bowl games.
