Southwest Gardener to Host Spring Classes and Garden Tour

Southwest Gardner at 15th Avenue and Thomas Rd. in Phoenix, just released their new class list for spring. I'd love to go to the Mosaic Birdbath class...

They're also offering a 5-day Garden Tour in June of some of the most exquisite gardens in Southern California. If you like to dig in the soil or appreciate others who do or even for a photographer, this is a dream tour. I've been to a few of the spots that they mention, like the Huntington Library and the Getty Villa in Malibu (before it was remodeled).

The image above is one I took of the Japanese Gardens at the Huntington Library a few years ago. They are both amazing places to enjoy God's creation, some magnificent artwork and beautiful Southern Cal. If the other locations are anything like those two, the tour could be breathtaking.

Speaking of gardens, let me know where your favorite gardens are. One of mine is Butchart Gardens in Victoria, British Columbia. I went there last year and took several hundred photos just at the gardens. It's amazing! And what about your favorites in Arizona? We know that it's a different kind of beauty in AZ, but our gardens can be gorgeous, serene and refreshing none-the-less.

One of the most spectacular rose gardens in all of Arizona is at Mesa Community College! They have one of the largest collection of Roses! Hundreds of visitors wander through the garden each year... along with hundreds of volunteers are needed to prune the roses each year... making it so worth our taking the time to go see this beautiful, colorful rose garden.
