Top 5 Things To Do in Goodyear, Arizona...

1) Visit the Wildlife Zoo located just north of Goodyear. This is a unique experience as the zoo has many exotic animals such as galapagos tortoises and white tigers. You can visit there website at: http://www.wildlifeworld.com/ for more information.

2) If you are into skateboarding, visit the state-of-the-art Skate Park at the Goodyear Community Park. This just opened recently and is truly amazing to see. For more information: http://az-goodyear.civicplus.com/index.asp?SID=611.

3) Hike, bike, or just play at Estrella Mountain Regional Park. This is a massive park with an outdoor activity for just about anyone.  It is beautiful and a great way to spend a sunny Arizona afternoon or they even hold evening events such as stargazing. For information on specific events happening at the park: http://www.maricopa.gov/parks/estrella/.

4) Check out any of the many special events that are held in Goodyear all year round. Coming up around the corner in February are the Rodeo Days! What says more about the wild west then a good old fashioned rodeo! Fun for the whole family. For more info on these, check out the city's website at: http://www.ci.goodyear.az.us/documents/Communications/GoodyearRodeo.pdf. For other special events, visit: http://az-goodyear.civicplus.com/index.asp?SID=628.

5) Last but not least...I try to write mainly about the southwest valley in Phoenix (which is where Goodyear is located), but there is an extraordinary event coming up next weekend Feb 2-4 in Glendale, Arizona. It is the CHOCOLATE FESTIVAL. Yes, I said chocolate.  It is sure to be amazingly rich and decadent.  Romance will be in the air as well as horse drawn carriages will be there too! It should be a great time.  I know I'll be there!  For more info: http://www.ci.glendale.az.us/news/2007GlendaleChocolateAffaire.cfm

As always, if you check any of these places out--let me know what you think!
