Get Your Last Nordic-Ski Kicks In
The world is white and the temperatures dropped into the 20's again last night, but do not be fooled by all of this. Spring, she is a-comin'... and fast. If you, like me, are a casual skier, and you feel like you haven't gotten out on the ski trail quite enough this winter, then grab your gear and go. Go now! There's only a week or two left down in the Anchorage bowl... maybe three on the hillside... maybe.
Once the snow starts to go, it goes fast. And once the snow turns to rain, you can pack your gear up for the winter. It's perfect right now. A nice base, mostly softened by the warmer temperatures. The warm weather makes being outside a pleasure and the long days of light make it easy to go before or after the regular work-a-day.
No excuses... and little time... get out and go!
