Alaskan Jumping Beans
The last time I went to Bouncin' Bears in Anchorage, it reminded me of Mexican Jumping beans. This place is a kiddie paradise. Imagine one of those bounce houses that you see at the local fairs and events... now put about 8 of those inside a warehouse, inflatable obstacle courses with high steep balloon blown up slides, regular bounce houses and a big bubble on the floor, like an inside-out bounce house... and there you have it, Bouncin' Bears.
The Bouncin' Bears in Anchorage is their second (I believe) in Alaska. They started up in Wasilla and did so well that they expanded to Anchorage. The prices vary by age, but even at a seemingly pricey $10 entrance fee for my 5 year old... the math looks pretty good when I think of how I paid $5 for 5 minutes at the last fair (Bouncin' Bears runs 2 hour sessions of bouncy pouncy fun).
So there you have it. 2 hours on, then they close for an hour to clean, running 3 sessions per day (10:00 AM - 12:00 PM, 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM, and 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM) . Your kids will love it and leave with rosy pink cheek. It's a great rainy day (icy day) activity, but (the big but) they cut off the number of people in the building (including non-jumping adults) at 50 people. They fill up fast, so get there 15 minutes early if you are determined to get a spot. www.bouncinbearsanchorage.com
