Snowgoose Restaurant Banquet Space
The Snowgoose Restaurant and Sleeping Lady Brewery is known mostly for its' beer and its' great downtown location. It also has a banquet room that is used well and often, currently for the Fur Rondy Melodrama, on the main level of the restaurant. It comes complete with stage and lights. But there is also a second, lesser known banquet space downstairs. It is a large u-shaped room, with the far arm of the "U" equal to the size of the upstairs space.
To access this downstairs banquet room, turn left after coming through the main 3rd street entrance and take the elevator down (there is also a street level entrace directly into the space around the side of the building). Upon exiting the elevator, go left again and you will turn right down this hall (below).
Take a left through this door and you will see the small side of the "U." This is the view straight ahead as you walk through the door (below).
Turn your head to the left and there is a door (not pictured) and the rest of the smaller arm of the "U" (below).
Turn you head back and walk straight ahead and you will enter the thin part, the bottom, of the "U." Photo number 2 shows the manager walking into the space that I am describing. This is where they usually place their bar for events (below).
Coming out of the narrow part of the room, you suddenly enter the much larger space, almost surprising in its' size. The beams are structural support, the perimeter of the room would work well for silent auction tables or other displays. The lights were off as we entered the room. (below)
Same room from further in the room (below).
Ahhh, here are the lights. This perspective is a little further in the room and turning to the right to get width of the room (below).
And then turning around and heading back toward the bottom of the "U" from about 1/2 - 3/4 into the room. I believe he said the kitchen 9for buffet, etc, is up those stairs as seen below.
