Valentine's Day Dinner
Here it is... the eleventh hour... and you didn't make restaurant reservations for you and your sweetheart. I can tell you from first hand experience that there aren't many tables left in town for an impromptu night out. However, there is a "Hail Mary" pass that you can make and still come out looking mighty fine.
The Double Musky Restaurant in Girdwood (45 minutes South of Anchorage) does not accept reservations. They open at 4:30 this evening... the line starts here 
They are known for their pepper steak and the atmosphere is eclectic, cozy, and beaded. The restaurant looks like a marti gras float exploded inside of an Alaskan log cabin... with really good effects. It will be crowded, but then it is always crowded. Go and stake out your seat NOW.
