Eyes On Obama
Anchorage is watching as Obama takes oath. Even in this conservative state, there are a multitude of Democrats (and some Republicans) gleeful that Obama is taking office today. No one can deny, fan or foe, that today is a historically significant day for America. Some of have even bigger thoughts than that, HURRAH for Obama!
If you would like to share the moment with others, then gather together to watch the festivities! Watch the live telecast, starting at 7:00 AM, at UAA's Wendy Williamson Auditorium. Entrance is free (parking is not). OR pay $10 to party at Organic Oasis (starting at 6:00 AM), OR go to PI Restaurant in the Embassy Suites to join a liberal crowd in front of a TV (breakfast is on you), OR... if your joy overfloweth... TONIGHT the local Obama campaign staff is hosting a free event at 7PM at the Anchor Pub & Club. There will be a DJ, dancing and hors d'oeurves (drink on your own folks).
