Kimball's in AK since 1915

Kimball's started out as a dry goods store at the city's beginning in 1915. It has been a store ever since and was owned and operated by the Kimball family until they sold it to family friends in the 80's. It has been operating as the Kobuk, a tea shop and gift store for many years.

This is a great little gem of a store at this time of year. Old fashioned candies are great stocking stuffers, the tea shop in the back is a cozy spot for a break, and the walls and shelves are filled with great gift idea's. It's the perfect place to find that last little something that you couldn't quite imagine.

Kimball's (The Kobuk) is also right next to Town Square. With the upcoming ice carving competition, it is nice to have a lovely place to warm up and buy some yummy snack.
